I was dropped from Tricare Prime. I was not notified.
When I went to pay my quarterly fees I was informed that I had been dropped for non-payment even though there were 7 weeks left in the quarter. When I informed them that I was never informed they said I had been by e-mail. I informed them that my preferred method of correspondence on file was to be informed by mail. Two days after my call they sent me a letter informing me of their actions.
Other major problems include not being able to get referrals, not being able to get the medications prescribed by our doctors, horrible customer service. Since taking over United Healthcare has ruined Tricare. They could care less about military service members and veterans and have no interest in making any changes for the better.
Please, please write your congress-person. It's the only way United Healthcare will listen.
