I was at home, california, on break from college on the east coast and I got sick. I went to my previous care provider because the university was closed and I was a 5 hr flight away and wouldn't be back for weeks. Well I guessed I should've sat there and suffered for weeks because now I have to pay for it entirely myself. Tricare doesn't do a *** thing. You might as well not have any insurance.

I had knee surgery on 10/27/16, Tri care *** up for some reason and my appointment for a referral for physical therapy is on 11/21/16. Does this sound right to anyone? I don't think so. When I was trying to call to schedule most recently the line made a beeping noise 8 or 9 times before I got a dial tone. Then a man picked up the phone speaking quickly , I tried to explain my situation but as soon as I mentioned my pcm he said his earliest... Read more

I just received back by post, a claim for which had no signature on the DD Form 2642. Included was the unsigned form (Doubled) a copy of the expensive invoice, my payment document and Tricare's letter explaining I needed to sign the DD Form 3642. Seven (7) sheets of paper. Why couldn't a message have been sent instead, stating what was missing. My claimed was submitted 24 Sep and now it is 25 Oct. What a waste of time and effort and to have... Read more

We've used Tricare Prime for many years now and for the most part, have been satisfied. (It probably saved us from bankruptcy in years past.) Recently, we lost our pediatrician for our biological children (our adopted children can still go to this pediatrician) and the PCM and hospital for my wife and I. Now the hospital we have to go to is much further away and we have to look for another doctor, when we were very happy with the current PCM.... Read more

My insurance was supposed to be activated October 1, 2016. I went to pick up my prescriptions October 2, 2016 and my insurance has still not been updated so I am unable to pick up my medicine. I checked Milconnect, Deers and DMDC which all state that my insurance is good starting ocober 1st and even have my insurance cards loaded, but when I logon to the Tricare website it just says that iiI'm, "eligible." I t seems that since my insurance... Read more

I had an appointment for September 28, 2016 at 0850, when I checked in, the receptionist said I was late, my appointment was at 0820. I informed her that my appointment was at 0850, and I received a voice reminder of the appointment was at 0850. She asked me if I wanted to reschedule and told her NO!!!! That would have been the third time I would have rescheduled. Tricare customer service has went downhill. I am still trying to get a referral... Read more

We are Tricare Prime Remote and had chosen a PCM in our local area shortly after PCSing. After a myriad of issues over several months with prescriptions not being refilled on time through the provider, and multiple billing issues with Tricare, we spoke with the provider's receptionist to try to resolve the problems. Following the phone call with the receptionist about the issues, we told our doctor and his nurse about her unprofessional manner... Read more

The worst health insurance company yet. And this is the health insurance company that they choose to represent military members. You guys are a joke. I know nothing will ever change because they don't care about there members.

I totally agree with the previous comment. Tricare will find any loophole in the warranty agreement to avoid paying. We purchased a rust module on the 4 year old vehicle bought from the dealer. Just 3 months later the rust started to come out. Tricare declined any repairs even though we had a box checked for perforation. Unless you have a fist size hole in your car they will not cover anything. Rust module not worth spending money, over... Read more

I am a retired Navy physician who can not get care at the hospital where I myself cred for many retirees. Every referral in the past 8 years has been refused with the exception of mammograms. Likely because those are very litigious. Otherwise I am sure I would also be sent out. I was just refused treatment yet again for something that is only available at the naval hospital as it is considered experimental so insurance won't pay. I have... Read more
